Sasol Streamlines Maintenance Operations Using Meridium

Located in South Africa, Sasol Synfuels converts coal and natural gas into gasoline, diesel fuel and chemicals.  The Sasol refinery outputs 150,000 barrels a day; manages 5,700 permanent employees plus 7,000 to 10,000 contractors - depending on maintenance activities - and is linked to a SAP instance that oversees 6,783 SAP maintenance notifications and 20,971 SAP work orders per week of which 4,054 notifications and 9,974 work orders are attributed to Synfuels. The management of this complex organization requires a streamlined approach to maintenance strategies, people and information.
