2008 Meridium Conference Focus - Delivering Added Value to Our Customers  Central to the theme of the conference was risk assessment and its role in optimal asset strategy development. Geoffrey Colvin, Editor and columnist for FORTUNE magazine emphasized the importance of understanding risk assessment when developing corporate strategy. Bernie Cooper, CEO of Silcar presented attendees with a no-nonsense approach to building the "value" bridge between technical and financial domains within asset intensive industry.
Bonz Hart, Meridium President/Founder presented "The Strategy Is the Asset", and unveiled two new initiatives - Asset Strategy Management (Meridium's new solution) and the Meridium Value Assurance Program (MVAP) - both supporting the importance of developing and implementing the "right" strategy for value maximization. Both launches adhere to the Meridium policy of "listening to the customer" - Product development was based on customer feedback from Meridium's 2007 conference, which was immediately placed into the company's product development cycle. The necessary people and resources were committed to assure product launch just one year later at the 2008 Meridium Conference. Meridium customers have a lot in common, so it's not surprising that customer success stories are a central component to the company's rapidly growing conference participation rate. Eastman Chemical, Sasol, Xcel Energy, PPG Industries, Dow Chemical, LyondellBasell Industries, Flint Hills Resources, Marathon Oil, Rio Tinto and others shared their strategies for success utilizing Meridium.  Attendees experienced a warm welcome every night thanks to Meridium's outstanding event sponsors. This year's events included a Welcome Reception featuring drinks and food poolside by Reliability Center, Inc.
